The year 2021

The year began with the launch of our new website and the publication of our S-GARD fan shop. A lot of time, effort, nerves and love had already been invested in this major project some time beforehand. We were all the more excited when the website and shop went online. Because only you could answer the biggest question of all: What do you think of the shop?
Internally there are always many different opinions, some like it more modern, others more reserved. Finding a compromise was not so easy. But when the day finally arrived, we were not only relieved, but also overjoyed at your positive feedback.

Of course, the website has been constantly updated since then and more articles have been added to the fan shop. Articles that YOU brought us to. It’s nice to see how much you get involved and it’s even nicer when we get this realised.

But it wasn’t just the website that had changed. S-GARD had also changed over time. So it was time to adapt our slogan. „When it matters“ became „UNITED FOR SAFETY“.

Did you know that even our employees had no idea what was going to happen on the day of the release and what was going to change? We kept it a big secret and everyone was excited to see what would happen. After all, the new slogan also meant a change for our employees, who also had to be able to identify with it.

But what else happened in 2021? Another great and completely new event for us was the presentation of our company in the exhibition of the Flax Museum in Wegberg. There you could and can take a look at the history of S-GARD and get to know and understand the world of firefighter clothing better using practical examples.

After all the exciting and beautiful things, unfortunately something happened in July 2021 that nobody was prepared for and nobody expected. Flooding in Germany. At that moment, it was no longer you and me, just us. Together we helped and achieved a lot! We also donated most of our clothing to fire brigades and tried to do our bit.

But 2021 also had other great moments to offer. We developed new products and shared them with you, for example our ECOGARD model. A garment made from recycled polyester and sustainable viscose.

You have been asking for this for a long time and with the ECOGARD we have been able to realise it: The 1st short S-GARD service trousers!
We have not only developed new items of clothing, but also enhanced existing ones. Like our SWISSGARD 2.0.

And what happened at the end of the year?
At the end of the year, we put our new fire training system into operation. Because even for you firefighters, a fire is not an everyday occurrence. In 2022, we also want to offer you the opportunity to undergo comprehensive training on the subject of „indoor firefighting“. Consisting of theory, practice and the fire training container. If you are interested, simply contact us.

In 2021, we were also able to exhibit at two trade fairs. The FLORIAN in Dresden and the A+A in Düsseldorf. Under hygiene measures, we were able to have great conversations with you and introduce you to our products. This is always a highlight for us too and we look forward to it every time.
At the FLORIAN, we presented our SWANGARD lifejacket to you for the first time. You were able to test it live on an 80 kg dummy.

What an exciting, thrilling and surprising year 2021 has been! We look forward to a new year with you! Because we are: UNITED FOR SAFETY!
