Welcome to our exciting product development series at S-GARD!
We are starting with the birth of our product ranges: the product idea.
Our ideas flow from a variety of sources – be it technological advances, input from sales or the ever-growing requests of our valued customers. We often build on technological innovations that enable us to take protective clothing to the next level. Close dialogue with our customers plays a crucial role in this. We carefully examine how we can combine your requirements with new innovations to create first-class products.
Once we have found our new product idea, thenext step is to select the material.
Here we now focus on selecting and ordering the fabrics and ingredients that are suitable for the planned development of our suits. Once these materials have arrived, they are thoroughly tested to ensure that they fulfil the desired performance requirements. This process marks a crucial step on the way to realising our innovative product ideas.
As soon as our product idea has been finalised and the final selection of materials has been made, thenext step is the prototype.
Before we create a prototype, we first make a pattern. This is then sewn into a prototype in-house using our selected fabrics. We make sure that all production steps are carried out exactly as they will be used later in production.
The prototype is then put through its paces to ensure that we can successfully launch a new product on the market with subsequent certification. You can find out what our last two steps on the way to a new product look like in the next part of our development blog. Stay tuned!
