New products at Interschutz

Of course, INTERSCHUTZ is not just about training, meetings and discussions, but also about product innovations.

We had some outstanding highlights this time. For example, we presented our S-GARD CONNECT to the firefighting world.
But what exactly is S-GARD CONNECT? It helps fire services when they have to work in areas where there is a risk of falling. An area at risk of falling, for example, is when the turntable ladder cage has to be opened during an operation. In this case, firefighters must wear PPE against falls from a height. This must be certified in accordance with the EN 361 standard. Everyone knows this standard, as every fire station has a set of fall protection equipment. A harness is available there for such cases.

And what exactly is CONNECT? CONNECT is a brand new, patented system in which the overjacket with integrated rescue loop has two additional loops, making it a quick and easy EN 361-compliant protection system. The whole thing is intuitive and can be used with all existing S-GARD jackets with IRS. EN361 has never been quicker or easier! CONNECT is now available to order.

We also had our new technical assistance suit with us, the CORSAIR. The CORSAIR is a very lightweight suit made from the new GORE PYRAD stretch material. Its low weight and high flexibility provide unrivalled wearing comfort. The suit fulfils all necessary standards. EN 16689, EN ISO 11612 and others. It is a true multi-standard suit and therefore suitable for all work other than firefighting. It is available in the standard sizes and in the colour black-blue-yellow. The CORSAIR is expected to be available to order from the end of the year.

All good things come in threes, which is why we presented another patented innovation at INTERSCHUTZ. The S-GARD HYBRID.
S-GARD HYBRID requires a little explanation. Because HYBRID is based on the GORE Parallon technology. What was Parallon again? Parallon is the solution that GORE presented at the last Interschutz 2015. Parallon is special because it is a solution with 2 membranes. It is the only solution in the world where the insulation always stays dry. Initially, Parallon was available in two versions: 600 and 500, where Parallon 600 has very high thermal insulation and 500 is very comfortable due to the fact that 100g of layer weight is saved. Hybrid combines the advantages of both solutions in one suit. In the parts of the suit where heat build-up can occur more quickly, for example shoulders and thighs, the suit has the very well insulating Parallon 600, and in the rest of the suit the highly comfortable Parallon 500, thus combining the two Parallon worlds perfectly. All S-GARD suits equipped with Parallon 500 will be supplied as HYBRID in future.

As you can see, we have made some innovations for you that will not only make your life as a firefighter safer, but also more comfortable. This is important, because comfort also means safety.
