Thematic focus

Religion and culture are two different things!

In the rescue/fire service, you meet people of all cultures and religions. Sometimes questions, misunderstandings or even conflicts arise when dealing with people from different cultures. To develop intercultural sensitivity and competence, we develop different culture-specific aspects in the training and develop tools to be able to assess and master situations with confidence.

  • How do other cultures experience rescue services, aid organisations and fire brigades?
  • Exceptional situations, stressful situations – how do people from different cultures deal with them?
