As the town of Großräschen reports, Susanne Schapp, head of the public order office, and Marcel Simon, deputy town fire chief, compared various offers for new turnout gear before deciding in favour of our SWISSGUARD system. The red version was chosen to protect the emergency services on the frequent missions on the A13 motorway and various federal highways. Mayor Thomas Zenker reports that it is very important to him to provide the emergency services with the best possible protection during their strenuous and dangerous missions.
The 85 items of equipment in the SWISSGUARD range have been customised for the individual firefighters and have already proven themselves in their first operations. This is because SWISSGUARD is suitable for firefighting and interior attacks with breathing apparatus as well as for rescue operations. Simon praised the integrated rescue system in particular: „It weighs 2.4 kg less than the old IRS and is easier to handle.“ The new protective equipment includes shoulder protectors, a depot pocket for the IRS, panic zip, lamp holder, back of hand protection, microphone holder and radio pocket.
