Strong layers for tough applications – the changing requirements of your job demand a lot from your protective clothing. Thanks to state-of-the-art materials and different layer structures, we at S-GARD develop products that combine all the important protective functions.
Optimum protection
Our outerwear is made up of three layers for optimum protection. The flame-retardant outer fabric protects you and the other layers from mechanical impact and is also highly tear-resistant. The second layer, the moisture barrier, keeps out rain and extinguishing water. At the same time, this breathable membrane ensures that any sweat that forms is reliably transported to the outside. Last but not least, the lining ensures good wearer comfort.
Together, the three layers form a functional air cushion that protects you from the intense heat during a fire. This is because air is a poor conductor of heat.
Of course, different and individual needs require suitable solutions that meet the respective requirements. We use GORE-TEX membrane technologies in most of our products. These reliably reduce heat stress, are permanently waterproof and are also equipped with the GORE-TEX CROSSTECH® function. Combined with breathable and high-quality materials, our products guarantee you maximum protection, comfort and durability.
The membrane with the highest level of heat and fire protection is the GORE-TEX CROSSTECH® PARALLON® system. It has been specially developed to reduce the risk of heat stress and burn injuries – especially in combination with moisture such as extinguishing water or rain. The lightweight, breathable and waterproof GORE-TEX CROSSTECH® PARALLON® system is a protective shield against extreme heat and scalding, allowing you to remain fully mobile. The GORE-TEX CROSSTECH® PARALLON® system is available in two different versions – GORE-TEX CROSSTECH® PARALLON® 600 and GORE-TEX CROSSTECH® PARALLON® 500.
But how exactly does GORE-TEX CROSSTECH® PARALLON® protect?
GORE-TEX CROSSTECH® PARALLON® 600 combines breathable heat insulation with GORE-TEX moisture barriers: two membranes are used, between which the thermal insulation sits. The special construction ensures high breathability: perspiration is quickly wicked away from the skin. At the same time, the system prevents moisture from penetrating from the outside. This keeps the insulation layer dry and reduces the risk of heat stress, scalds or burns. And you’ll be able to perform for a long time!
The demands on protective clothing are constantly increasing. Protective clothing must fit as comfortably as possible and be pleasantly light – no matter how strenuous the mission. For this reason, the further development GORE-TEX CROSSTECH® PARALLON® 500 was launched on the market. It offers optimum comfort and maximum flexibility with a very high level of protection.
